5-10-07. Self Study Book #1. 29 years old. My ankles seem to be rolling to the outsides of my body when I walk. The rolling is
only occurring on my right ankle, the left ankle still has the proper structure when it comes to walking. This rolling that takes place is causing my balance to be off. I notice when I walk I tend to sway from left to right. There is no dizziness I experience when I walk, just a swaying from side to side. The swaying is not problematic in open areas but if I am trying to maneuver through crowds or objects then my confidence in my movements becomes in question. When I pick up either leg, as I am about to take a step, the leg goes forward in a momentum sort of fashion. There is no stopping the leg as it is in motion. Also the ankle on both feet tends to do a little shake from left to right, right before the foot is placed back on the ground in front of me. No matter how hard I try to hold the leg or ankle straight it will not maintain. Even if I walk slower the shakiness is still there in the ankle along with the lack of control
of the legs going forward. The only thing I can do is be mindful of the weakness and then try to improve it through exercises.
